Terms of Use

This site records matches and maintains a ranking for River Valley Tennis Club. It is run by club members for club members. These terms are short, and they mostly amount to: record results honestly, and treat other members decently.
Who can use it
Anyone may view the top three in the Overall, ATP and WTA rankings without signing in. Full rankings, results, player statistics and head-to-head comparisons require a signed-in, approved club account. To record a match, an organizer must also connect your account to your player profile. Accounts are for club members aged 18 and over.
Your account belongs to you alone. Do not let someone else sign in as you — every result carries the name of whoever submitted it, and shared accounts make the record untrustworthy.
Junior members
Members under 18 do not hold accounts. They can still play in the ranking: an organizer adds them to the roster and records their matches for them, so no sign-in, email address or profile picture is ever created for a junior.
A parent or guardian must agree before a junior’s name appears on the site, and can have them removed at any time. Juniors are shown by first name and last initial. See our Privacy Policy for why.
Recording results
You are responsible for the accuracy of results you submit. When you record a match you are stating that it was actually played, on the date given, with the score given.
- Every match needs a witness — a third member who was present. Naming someone who was not there defeats the point of having a witness.
- Only one result per pair of players per day can be recorded, which is a deliberate guard against double entry.
- Ordinary members record their own matches. Organizers may record a match on behalf of any two players.
- Matches must fall within the current season’s dates.
Points are awarded automatically by the season’s rules. Nobody can adjust points by hand.
Corrections
Organizers can void a result that was entered wrongly, and must give a reason when they do. Voided results stop counting towards the ranking but are not erased — the original entry, who voided it, and why, are all kept. This is intentional: a ranking people can quietly edit is not worth having.
If you think a result is wrong, raise it with an organizer rather than recording a contradicting one.
Profile pictures
Upload a picture of yourself, or nothing at all. Do not upload a photograph of another person without their agreement, and do not upload anything you would be uncomfortable seeing on a public page — your profile picture is public whenever you appear in a top-three podium. Other player profile pictures require a signed-in, approved club account.
You keep ownership of any picture you upload. By uploading it you allow the club to display it on this site. Remove it at any time and the file is deleted.
We will remove any image that is not a straightforward profile picture, without discussion.
Fair use
Do not use this site to:
- record matches that did not happen, or scores that are not real;
- impersonate another member;
- attempt to reach parts of the site your account is not entitled to;
- harvest members’ information for any purpose unrelated to club tennis;
- disrupt the site or place unreasonable load on it.
Suspension
Organizers may disable an account that is being used to falsify results, harass other members, or otherwise abuse the site. If your account is disabled and you think that is a mistake, email contact@rvtennisclub.org.
What this site is not
It is a club ranking board maintained by volunteers. It is provided as it is, without guarantee that it will always be available or always correct. Rankings are provisional and may be recalculated if an error is found. Nothing here should be treated as an official record for any purpose outside the club.
To the extent the law allows, the club and its organizers are not liable for loss arising from use of this site.

Changes
These terms may change as the site gains features. Material changes will be announced to members rather than slipped in. Governed by the laws of Singapore.
